Connect, Collaborate, and Grow: Join Us at Our Upcoming Networking Event

Updated: Nov 24

In ophthalmology, some of the most meaningful learning happens outside the lecture hall—through conversations with colleagues, shared experiences, and the connections built along the way. Networking is an essential part of professional growth, and we are committed to creating opportunities that bring our community together.

As part of our ongoing education and surgical training initiatives, we are planning an in-person networking event at an upcoming major ophthalmology meeting. Whether it takes place during ESCRS, AAO, or another global congress, the goal remains the same: to create a welcoming space for discussion, collaboration, and community building.

Why Networking Matters

The field of ophthalmology evolves quickly, and staying at the forefront requires more than knowledge—it requires relationships. Networking helps you:

  • Exchange clinical and surgical insights

  • Discover new approaches and technologies

  • Build professional connections across countries and subspecialties

  • Find mentors and potential collaborators

  • Strengthen your presence in the global ophthalmology community

Our upcoming gathering is designed to support these meaningful interactions.

What to Expect at the Event

Although the exact meeting location will be announced soon, you can expect a relaxed, collegial environment where participants can connect and exchange ideas. The event will include:

Informal Conversations

Meet colleagues, fellows, faculty, and peers who share your interest in cornea and external diseases.

Introductions to Mentors & Leaders

Engage with educators and surgeons involved in our programs, including fellowship modules, wet labs, and observerships.

Program Highlights

Learn about upcoming opportunities—such as wet labs at the Venice Eye Bank, observerships, and educational initiatives.

A Supportive Community Atmosphere

Our goal is to create a space where everyone feels welcome, regardless of experience level or career stage.

This networking event is open to:

  • Current and past fellows

  • Participants in our wet labs
